PUNE: Tricycles, price Rs5 lakh, have been gutted in a big fire that broke out in a godown located within the basement of a construction at Jijamata Chowk close to Lal Mahal. No one was injured within the incident that happened within the early hours of Monday.

Sachin Kivade, a cycle broker, had kept a big inventory of tricycles within the godown. Two-wheelers of the citizens, too, have been parked there. “Two persons, who have been within the godown, spotted the smoke and right away alerted the landlord in addition to the hearth brigade,” Shaikh mentioned. He added that six fire tenders rushed to the spot.
