CHENNAI: In a shocking incident, a techie was stabbed via her ex-boyfriend with a pen knife in Thiruvanmiyur on Sunday. He later attempted suicide via slitting his wrist.
Police stated the 22-year-old instrument engineer, a local of Ambur, was dwelling at an condominium in Thiruvanmiyur. She was in a dating with Kavin, 23, of Tiruttani. They had long past to the similar engineering faculty in Kancheepuram. They have been courting for the past 3 years. While the woman set to work in an IT company, Kavin could no longer land a task anyplace. Unhappy with his behaviour, the girl determined to get a divorce with him and knowledgeable Kavin over phone.
Kavin, who was dissatisfied with her determination, told her that he wanted to meet her in person as he wanted to go back the presents that they had exchanged. “The duo met for tea where she told him that she wanted to pay attention in her profession and requested him not to disturb her,” stated an investigating officer. Kavin refused to just accept her determination and an argument broke between them whilst they have been standing at the highway. He started to threaten her with dire penalties.

Meanwhile, Kavin is being questioned via senior police officers. Police have booked him beneath Indian Penal Code segment 307 (try to homicide). He shall be remanded on Monday morning.
