Thane: Woman auto driver held for sex racket, two rescued

THANE: The anti-human trafficking cellular (AHTC) of the city has arrested a 42-year-old woman auto motive force for allegedly pushing two women into flesh business. The victims were rescued by way of the police officers.

The accused has been identified as Sangeeta Batawale, a Manpada resident, said senior inspector Sanjay Patil.

Patil said that on Monday, they'd won a tip-off that the accused was once indulging in flesh business and forcibly pushing women into it at Talaopali.

The police officers had laid a trap and had despatched considered one of their police officers who posed as a buyer and met Sangeeta. They fixed an quantity of Rs three,000. The accused then showed him the ladies who were in her auto. The sleuths straight away stuck them and rescued the ladies who were in the age crew of 28 to 30 years.
