BJYM, cops spar over wrongly parked car

Tension reigned for a short lived whilst at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International airport on Thursday evening following heated arguments between police and Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha over a automotive that used to be wrongly parked by a BJYM leader's driving force. The BJYM alleges that the cops slapped the driver and this led to arguments over use of power.

Sources said, the incident took place round 7.30 pm when driving force of Gujarat BJYM government committee member Kunal Patel parked the Fortuner (GJ-06-HD-3333) within the no-parking zone at airport. Police used power to tow the automobile after locking it, alleged BJYM. The BJYM leaders said they'd simply landed on the airport from Kolkata after they learnt concerning the incident.

Dr Rutvij Patel, Gujarat BJYM president, "Police slapped the driver and this is unacceptable. They can take action as per law for parking a car in no-parking zone. We took up the issue with the cops regarding the slapping incident and the matter was settled with an apology."

ACP G Division AM Desai informed Mirror, "Nobody had engaged in any physical altercation. It was only a heated exchange of arguments."
