While MI, who are positioned third at the table, have an edge with 14 points, SRH are just a step at the back of and trail their opponents by two points.

Unfortunately for SRH, they'll take the sphere with out their inspirational Australian opener David Warner, who has returned house to begin arrangements for the World Cup.

The left-hander featured in all the 12 games, and is the main run-scorer this season with 692 runs. He struck eight half-centuries and a ton and formed a formidable aggregate on the top of the order with England's Jonny Bairstow, who returned house after playing the first 10 games.

Over the years, each teams have met within the IPL on 13 events and there’s little to split them with Hyderabad profitable seven of the ones encounters. However, MI ruled the previous recreation performed at Uppal with West Indian rookie Alzarri Joseph stealing the display with a six-wicket haul.

MI enter Thursday’s clash at the back of a 34-run defeat by the hands of the Kolkata Knight Riders on the Eden Gardens. They will probably be beneath power to put up a greater display, for had it not been for the heroics of Hardik Pandya, who struck a 34-ball 91, they would have suffered a much bigger defeat.

Pandya has been terrific with the bat, amassing 355 runs, and the fact that he has had to make such a main contribution points to the loss of important contribution by some of MI’s top-order batsmen.
