MANIPAL: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Indiana on behalf of Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP) for Cooperative Education Programmes, on May 15.
Dr H Vindo Bhat, vice chancellor, MAHE and Josette Jones, director, Health Informatics, Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing, USA singed the MoU. Also present on the occasion had been, Dr Raghu director, International Collaboration MAHE, Dr G Arun Maiya, dean, MCHP and Dr Palakal Mathew, senior govt affiliate dean IUPUI and others.
The MoU will be offering opportunities for the students of Bachelors in Health Information Management programme to receive a world certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator and carry out an externship and internship at the IUPUI campus of their ultimate 12 months.
In addition, the students will even get a possibility to pursue Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM) approved Masters in Health Informatics programme. The scholars will even receive scholarship and instructing assistant-ship for pursuing the programme which will give you the chance of credit transfer.
