Nick Kyrgios was defaulted from his second round Italian Open conflict against Norway's Casper Ruud on Thursday after the hot-headed Australian hurled a chair directly to the court docket.
World quantity 36 Kyrgios was given a code violation for 'unsportsmanlike behavior' after being damaged early in the 3rd set. Having already been passed a code violation earlier in the fit, the most recent outburst intended the umpire also passed him a sport penalty.
This triggered an indignant Kyrgios to slam his racket into the bottom, kick a water bottle prior to he tossed a chair against the centre of the court docket.
The annoyed 24-year-old shook arms together with his opponent and the umpire prior to he strode off the court docket, successfully defaulting himself from the competition.
Ruud was leading 6-3 6-7(5) 2-1 when Kyrgios was disqualified and will face Juan Martin del Potro in the 3rd round.
