The government On Friday announced the portfolios of the Union ministers with BJP President Amit Shah being named Home Minister while Rajnath Singh might be Defence Minister and Nirmala Sitharaman the Finance Minister. Former international secretary S Jaishankar will be the new External Affairs Minister while Smriti Irani has been given fee of Women and Child Development Ministry along with Ministry of Textiles she already had in the earlier government.
