GURGAON: Power distribution company Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has collected the meter reading of round 70 shoppers afresh when they complained about inflated bills for the month of September.
Discom's sub-divisional officer in South City instructed TOI that they have carried out a re-reading of round 70 shoppers who had gained such bills. "We made a list of the people who suffered due to inflated bills," stated Dharam Singh, SDO, South City. "Accordingly, we sent the team to the houses and took fresh meter readings. By now, their problems have been fixed. We have corrected their bills."
However, Sudhir Bharadwaj, RWA president of Sector 56 wasn't impressed with the discom's effort. "Discom may have resolved the issue of inflated bills but what about those whose bills were determined average-wise? This is against the norms. We want discom to rectify that as well." stated Bharadwaj. TNN
