Mother abandons newborn girl, tracked down by cops

GURGAON: An hours-old child lady was deserted through a couple at Civil Hospital on Tuesday. This is the third daughter born to the couple and so they left her in the neonatal extensive care unit and fled from the medical institution. However, later that night, law enforcement officials tracked them down and handed over the kid to them. No FIR has been lodged in the case but.

Sunita and her husband Pankaj are from Bihar and live in Naharpur Rupa village in Gurgaon's Sector 33 house. Both work as labourers. Sunita was pregnant with her third kid and had arrived at the medical institution on Monday for supply. At the time of admission, that they had given their landlord Ram Mukhtar's address in the medical institution information.


Around 10 pm that night, Sunita gave birth to a wholesome child lady. The kid was saved in the neonatal extensive care unit (NICU) ward. But the following morning, i.e., Tuesday, Sunita were given up from her mattress to take a stroll in the ward and soon disappeared with her husband and two other daughters from the medical institution, according to Civil workforce.


The Civil Lines police station was quickly informed and in line with the address discussed in the medical institution information, law enforcement officials tracked down the couple. "Police brought the couple to the hospital on Tuesday night. Our staff identified the woman after which we handed over the baby to them," mentioned Dr Pradeep Sharma, performing fundamental clinical officer, Gurgaon.


"There is no formal complaint and we have already solved the case. So we did not file the FIR," mentioned a cop from Civil Lines police station.
