Panchgaon substation to boost Mewat power supply

GURGAON: Power transmission company Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) has installed a brand new 220/66kV substation in Panchgaon that is more likely to make stronger provide to spaces in power deficient Mewat area.


HVPNL superintendent engineer Anil Yadav instructed TOI that they kickstarted the substation on October 11.


The new substation will add no less than 160 MVA capacity within the Gurgaon circle that now has capacity of one,600 MVA. "This is a very significant capacity enhancement for us," Yadav instructed TOI. Yadav mentioned that the world more likely to take pleasure in this substation is Mewat. "The substation will supply power to two 66 kV substations, one in Tauru and another in Muhammadpur," he mentioned. "Both these substations have 63 MVA carrying capacity."


Yadav mentioned that the mission value Rs 20 crore. It is a part of HPVNL's plan to build up to 42 substations by way of 2050.
