BJP's H Raja asks ministers to check corruption

COIMBATORE: Accused by opposition parties of allegedly meddling within the affairs of the AIADMK executive, the BJP on Wednesday focused the state equipment on corruption.

BJP nationwide secretary H Raja alleged that there have been lawsuits about corruption in central executive schemes implemented within the state.


"I've been receiving lawsuits that the beneficiaries of a central executive scheme for development of toilets are being requested to pay bribe. State Vshould intrude and take a look at those lawsuits,'' he stated.


Raja additionally slammed the TN executive for now not appointing a CEO for the Smart City Project in Coimbatore even though the Centre was pumping in crores for the undertaking. He stated the Centre had allotted 1,560 crore for 100 Smart Cities, of which 13 are in Tamil Nadu.


Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allocating the finances for construction of Tamil Nadu, he stated Modi was generous in granting a variety of projects and finances. He stated that the Centre recently allotted 1 lakh crore worth of projects for Tamil Nadu, introduced by delivery and road shipping minister Nitin Gadkari.
