The farmers organisation, which began a five-day sit-in in New Delhi on Wednesday, attacked the Narendra Modi government's alleged "anti- farmer" insurance policies and demanded that the federal government put in force the Swaminathan Committee Report on Agriculture in complete, withdraw the 2014 Land Aquisition Act, waive all farm loans, arrange a Rs one lakh crore 'Kisan Fund' for farm produce worth stabilisation, and provide Rs 10,000 pension for all agricultural workers and rural artisans when they attain 60 years of age.
