Former actress Raageshwari Loomba roots for a National Commission for men

Model-turned-actress Raageshwari Loomba has emphasized on the need for a National Commission for males. She took to Twitter to proportion a video where she put forth her views on the Marriage Bill. Stating that the invoice is extra "pro-divorce than pro-marriage," she says that the invoice is "very lopsided and not gender neutral."


She mentioned, "I'm a housewife, married, and even I feel that the Marriage Bill is actually very lopsided and not gender neutral. I do believe that the intentions are honourable, to safeguard the interests of women, but I think the route is not fair. If you want to empower women, let's educate them and remove the stigma of divorce. Here I feel the Bill is more pro-divorce than pro-marriage. Let's not forget that Indian men don't just support their wives but her whole family. So we need to look at the dynamics of an Indian man."


She concluded via announcing, "Let's have a National Commission for men." She questioned why we do not need one for males if we now have a National Commission for women and mentioned that it will ultimately assist the ethical material of the nation.
