Haj panel chief gets death threats over Ram Mandir row

MEWAT: Ayodhya's Ram Mandir controversy reached Mewat on Friday, when Haryana haj committee chairman gained threats for advocating the temple in Ayodhya. Aurangzeb Chaudhry had just lately stated that Ram Mandir will have to be built on the Babri Masjid web site. The commentary did not pass neatly with the Muslim fans who released a video on Friday threatening to kill Chaudhary.


Chaudhary has filed a police complaint after he gained loss of life threats and abuses on social media sites for supporting building Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on the disputed web site. During an tournament arranged in Mewat to mark Haryana Diwas on Wednesday, the former head of BJP Minority Morcha had stated that Muslims will have to come forward to strengthen the idea of establishing a Ram temple in place of the Babri Mosque structure. In his comments, the BJP chief had stated that namaz can't introduced at a disputed web site. RSS chief Indresh Kumar and chairman of the nationwide commission for minorities Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi too have been provide on the tournament.


"There are 100 crore Hindus in the country and the matter of Ram temple is related to their beliefs. Therefore temple should come up there. I did say this, but then these close-minded fanatics cannot think of them as Indians and have to divide the nation," Chaudhary instructed TOI.


In his police complaint at Punhana's Bichhor police station, Aurangzeb has even named two of the individuals. "On November 2, a video went viral, where one Abu Bakr is abusing me and threatening drastic actions against me. Raunak Ali has said that if someone gives him the contract, he would shoot 12 bullets in my head," the complaint reads.


An FIR has been reported below section 506 at Bicchor police station in Mewat.
