Hubballi to host Konkani cultural meet on December 2

Hubballi: Konkani language is not limited to any caste or creed, but has been the mum tongue of positive sections of Hindus, Muslims and Christians, stated R P Naik, president, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy (KKSA).

Though Konkani is the legitimate language in Goa, a larger collection of other people discuss the language in Karnataka, Naik informed newshounds right here on Wednesday. "Konkani-speaking people are living in harmony with all communities in Karnataka and have been serving in sectors like trading, banking, education, literature and journalism. They have created lakhs of jobs in various fields," he stated.

Konkani-speaking other people arrived in Hubballi centuries in the past and have played a a very powerful role in improving the area's financial system, he stated. "Keeping this in mind, we are holding Konkani Sanskritik Saanj at Saraswati Sadan, GSB Samaj Mandir, JC Nagar on December 2. This is the 12th event of the 25-series programmes conducted by KKSA to mark 25 years of Konkani's inclusion in the 8th Schedule of Constitution that provides national language status to the language," he knowledgeable.


Poetry recital, folklore, bhajan, yoga, magic and Konkani team dance will probably be a part of the programme, stated local organizer Aragodu Suresh Shenoy.


Industrialist Satish Shejawadkar, journalist Venkatesh Prabhu, Father Francis Silvera, U G Shanbhag and Chandrakant Vernekar would be the visitors at the inaugural rite. Deepali Shenoy and workforce will exhibit yogasanas while Nisha Bhat and chorus will provide folk bhajans. Sangeeta Palankar will carry out magic on the instance.


Children will show off traditional attires at a complicated dress show, stated Gopalkrishna Shanbhag and Dharmesh Gangolli.
