Corporation SRG Ammaniammal Girls High School used to be awarded the cleanest government college and PSGR Krishnammal Higher Secondary School and Delhi Public School have been named the cleanest government-aided and private faculties. PSG Hospitals and KG Hospitals have been the cleanest hospitals underneath institutional and multi-specialty classes
Shanti Social Services Canteen used to be ranked the best in cleanliness amongst hotels and Geetha Mess, amongst messes.
Corporation commissioner Okay Vijayakarthikeyan, who passed over the mementoes to the winners, mentioned the corporation has been trying to move the town to the primary spot in the next nationwide swachh scores.
"Coimbatore was ranked 16th in 2017. The survey was conducted in around 400 cities across the country," he mentioned. The Centre has launched Swachh Survekshan-2018 to rank all four,041 towns and cities in the country. "We are trying to make Coimbatore the cleanest city in the country," he mentioned.
