BHUBANESWAR: In order to take on the parking woes at Nandankanan zoological park, the state govt will assemble a multi-storied parking near the zoo. It was introduced through forest and atmosphere secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra at the occasion of 58th basis day of the zoo here on Friday.
Mohapatra mentioned the government will assemble the parking near the zoo. "We will also develop the Nandankanan bus stand and set up a food court for the convenience of the tourists. The state government has approved the fund of Rs 30 crore for the project," he added.
He mentioned they are going to additionally electrify the street connecting Bhubaneswar city space with Nandankanan zoo. "We will start electrification work very soon. For this project, Nandankanan and Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) will share the project cost in 50:50 ratio," he added.
Now Botanical Garden has no right kind road to glue it with main road. Government will assemble an approach road to glue the lawn with four lane road near Nandankanan. "We hope all these works will be completed within next financial year," he added.
Toy train and rope manner, which have been two sights of the zoo, are lying defunct because of lack of repairing and right kind consideration. He mentioned they are going to get started the services and products next 12 months.
Chandaka forest space is only a few mins distance from the backside gate of the zoo. "We are planning to run Safari bus through the route to Chandaka forest. We will open restaurants in the jungle to attract tourists. It is in planning stage. We will take up this project," he added.
The forest division may be planning to increase the world of the zoo through including some forest spaces of Chandaka. On the basis day, a Himalayan Black Bear enclosure was inaugurated on the zoo. Mohapatra inaugurated the enclosure.
