Ballari: Hagaribommanahalli police have arrested two males for their alleged involvement in a demonetized foreign money exchange racket. The accused had been recognized as Peeni Kumar Naik, 45, and Maani Krishna Naik, 46, citizens of Rayaralu tanda of Hagaribommanahalli taluk in Ballari district. A gang of eight had allegedly cheated one Dish Nagaraj to the song of Rs eight lakh by providing to interchange demonetized foreign money notes in Febraury closing 12 months.

The district cybercrime and narcotic police have arrested a lady and a man for allegedly selling ganja in the district. The accused Dowla, 35, a resident of Ranitota in Ballari, and Lakshmi, 40, a resident of Toranagallu, have remanded in judicial custody. Lakshmi's husband Govinda, 50, fled when his wife was once being wondered by police at their space.
