Do not sensationalise incidents without verifying them: Haryana CM Khattar on rapes

NEW DELHI: Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar nowadays stated that people should now not "sensationalise" "unverified" news about rape incidents being reported from his state.


"Attempts to sensationalise incidents without verifying them should not happen," the CM stated nowadays.

Khattar's government has been going through serious criticism for failing to curb the new spurt within the choice of rape cases in his state. Haryana has been rocked by means of over half a dozen incidents of rapes since closing Saturday.

The opposition Congress celebration has demanded the ouster of the Khattar-led government for failing to offer security to ladies within the state.

Even as CM Khattar was completing his observation, his celebration's MP from Kurukshetra, Rajkumar Saini, dropped another debatable statement on the issue of rapes, when he held "social activism" answerable for contemporary incidents of rapes within the state.



"These incidents (rapes) do not happen with the consent of the government. They have been taking places since ages. As social activism and population are increasing, such type of incidents (rapes) are also increasing," he reasoned.


Meanwhile, the executive minister has beneficial capital punishment for convicts who rape ladies under the age of 12 years.


"I am really hurt by the incidents being reported by you lately. We have decided to make strong provisions. If such incidents of rape with girls below 12 is proved true, we will make an act of capital punishment for the accused in this session," he stated.
