Kinner Akhara to come in Kumbh-2019

ALLAHABAD: At a time when the All India Akhara Parishad has refused to give recognition to the kinner akhara as a separate identification, the Sangam city witnessed informal talks between the akhara members and the president of all India akhara parishad, Mahant Narendra Giri.

Although the ice has been broken, however the variations continues between the 2 because the kinner akhara is adamant on coming to Kumbh-2019 as a separate akhara, the all India akhara parishad says they're going to now not give recognition to them as a separate identification.

On Tuesday night time, the members of the kinner akhara, led by means of the top of the akhara Mahamandeleshwar Luxmi Narayan Tripathi, met the president of the All India Akhara Parishad, Mahant Narendra Giri in an informal chat.

"After completing our religious obligations at the Sangam banks, we tried meeting the president of the akhara parishad and thus we had an informal discussion wherein we laid down our agenda as to why we want be treated as a separate akhara", said convener of the akhara, mahant Pavitra Maharaj whilst chatting with TOI on his approach to Nagpur after staying for three days at Allahabad.

He additional said that the akhara members have been told to get attached to any of the prevailing 13 akhara's. "If the apex court of the country believes that we should be given equal rights and treated at par with any other citizen, why are we stopped from having a separate akhara of our own".

"We would come at Kumbh 2019 as a separate akhara, take out 'amrit yatra'—for we don't want to use the word peshwai—and if the akhara parishad or the administration comes in between, we would raise our voice in front of CM and if the need arises, we will not hesitate to approach judiciary. But one thing is for sure that no one can come in our way for following 'sanathan dharm', which is our right", said the convener.

However, the akhara parishad continues with their earlier stand. "They wanted to meet me in an informal chat and they did so, explaining their stand, I have told them that if all the members of the parishad approves, they can be invited in the next meeting of the parishad. But, our stand continues as before that we will not recognise them as 14th akhara", said mahant Narendra Giri.
