GURUGRAM: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested second accused in the alleged gang rape of a college girl in Farrukhnagar on January 15 and seized the automobile during which the crime was once reportedly dedicated.
The second accused was once identified as Lalit alias Kalu (21). The police had arrested one Pawan alia Poni (24) inside of hours of the woman lodging complaint on Thursday. Sources mentioned Pawan had disclosed the whereabouts of his partner.
Both have been on Friday remanded in an afternoon's police custody.
Police assets mentioned some of the accused, Pawan, were arrested in September ultimate year for allegedly beating up the sarpanch of his village and was once out on bail. Both Pawan and Lalit labored as cash lenders in their village Kheda Khurampur.
"We have arrested the two accused, both of whom have confessed to the crime. Now that we have taken them on a day's remand, we will question them further," mentioned Ashok Bakshi, DCP (south).
