Slain BSP leader’s wife receives threat call, files FIR

ALLAHABAD: Wife of slain Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Rajesh Yadav on Thursday lodged an FIR with Colonelganj police in opposition to an unidentified caller who allegedly threatened her to drop the murder case.
The caller threatened her of a fate similar to Rajesh's if she did not withdraw the case inside of 24 hours, police said.


Rajesh used to be shot useless through unidentified assailants close to Tarachand Hostel road in Colonelganj space in October final and police had arrested four individuals, including two top accused, on murder rate.


Deputy SP (Colonelganj) Alok Mishra told TOI on Thursday that the spouse of the slain BSP leader has lodged a case below segment 507 of IPC with Colonelganj police in opposition to unidentified caller in connection with the threatening name.


"We have deputed a team of crime branch to trace the location of the caller and ensure his arrest at the earliest," he added.


The lady told the police officers that the caller known himself as Dawood Ibrahim.
