After residents’ protest, water supply resumes in Siddeshwar Park

Hubballi: Protesting the non-supply of water for the reason that previous 12 days and condemning the substandard high quality or street work, residents of Siddeshwar Park blocked the road in their locality here on Thursday morning, forcing the government to unencumber water to the realm within the afternoon.

The protest began at nine.30am and lasted for two-and-half hours. Police and water board officials reached the spot and convinced the protesters, which integrated women, to withdraw the protest.


The street blockade forced vehicle users to take other ways. However, the protesters let emergency vehicles and college vehicles move the realm. Retired well being professional Dr Subhas Babruwad led the protest.


Dr Babruwad said that water delivery pipelines have been broken at some spots because of the road works. “The officials aren't to fix the leakage. The space corporator could also be now not responding properly,” he alleged.


He alleged that 16 two-wheelers have skidded within the space because of excessive spraying of water. “The street has became muddy because of the unscientific spraying of water. What if someone dies in accidents? There is a lack of coordination between the departments involved,” he said.
