KANPUR: A 17-year-old dalit girl was once allegedly strangled in her area overdue on Monday evening in a Etawah village through a hoodlum and his good friend for complaining towards their sexual advances. Her six-year-old sister, who rushed to her help, was once crushed and locked in a room through the accused.
The police have lodged an FIR and arrested the two accused, who additionally hung the girls' frame from a hook in the house.
Police stated the accused Arun Gupta and his aide have been booked underneath Sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of proof of offence, or giving false knowledge to display culprit), 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for prison intimidation), 354 (attack or prison force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), but even so 325 (punishment for voluntarily causing grievous harm) of the IPC and SC/ST Act, but even so POCSO Act (7).
The postmortem record confirmed that the lady, Aarti, was once strangled. But it ruled out sexual attack.
Arun, 25, who lives in the same village, had allegedly molested Anita on Saturday when she had long past to a marketplace. "After Arti and her parents complained to Arun's parents, he threatened to kill them," police stated.
Police added that on Monday evening, the accused barged into Aarti's area. Arun entered into an argument with her and later strangled her with her 'dupatta' and locked her younger sister in a room for resisting their attack.
