NOIDA: In order to streamline parking within the city, the Noida Authority on Thursday invited ideas from the public on its proposal to modify the construction bylaws.
As in step with the proposal, the Authority needs to make it obligatory for all person residential plot homeowners to have stilt parking to accommodate their automobiles. In addition, all staff housing developers should provide one parking space for each 50 sq. metres as in comparison to the current norm of 1 parking space for each 80 sq. metres of area purchased by means of residents.
The concept is to make it obligatory for property homeowners to create parking space on their very own premises moderately having automobiles parked on the city’s roads, stated Authority officers.
“Once we obtain ideas and objections from the folk, we can transparent them earlier than amending our construction bylaws 2010,” AK Mishra, chief architect planner, Noida Authority, instructed TOI.
“Once carried out, all our residential plot and staff housing allottees should abide by means of the norms and no structure plan of a construction will likely be authorized if the new bylaws aren't adopted,” he stated.
Mishra defined that till now, it used to be non-compulsory and depended on the allottee whether they sought after to create stilt parking or not for person plot homeowners above 112 metres. If property homeowners opted for stilt parking, they were allowed to construct an additional floor.
“However, if the bylaws are amended, all plot homeowners above and underneath 112 metres should build stilt parking to accommodate their automobiles,” he stated. “For staff housing societies, if a purchaser has a flat measuring 100 sq. metres, they're going to be eligible for two parking spaces as towards the current norm of 1 parking space,” he added.
“The aim is to create extra parking space in residential areas. We have invited ideas and objections towards the move within the next 15 days from all stakeholders,” Mishra added.
