GURUGRAM: A girl in her thirties who had long gone out for a drink with her husband and brother-in-law at a pub in DLF-Five was allegedly molested via four men in the early hours of Sunday. Her doctor-husband and his cousin had been abused and threatened when they resisted.
Their ordeal did not end there. When they left the pub, the four chased their automotive till her husband known as police officers.
The accused have been identified as Nikhil, Anirudh Dahiya, Sonu Nagar and Dhruv Pahuja, all residents of Gurugram. Though they controlled to speed away prior to the police officers may arrive, they had been arrested later that day but launched on bail via a city courtroom on Monday.
Police stated the girl, her husband and his cousin had long gone to Whisky Samba Club in DLF-Five on Saturday night time. Around 12.30 am on Sunday, the accused touched her inappropriately when she was dancing at the ground along side her husband.
First she objected, and when her husband and brother-in-law intervened, the four men began misbehaving with them and even threatened them with dire penalties.
“Initially an argument broke out between us and the four men. The accused soon began abusing us and then threatened us with dire penalties,” the physician stated.
“To steer clear of any showdown, we soon left the pub. But the four men began chasing our automotive. At first, I attempted to forget about them, but later I was forced to dial 100.
“However, they controlled to flee by the point police officers reached the spot. We had noted down the registration selection of the car of the accused and given it over to the police,” he added.
On the grievance of the girl’s husband, an FIR has been registered towards the accused under sections 294 (obscene act), 506 (felony intimidation), 507 (felony intimidation via an nameless verbal exchange) and 509 (act meant to insult the modesty of a girl) of IPC at Sushant Lok police station.
“The accused went to the pub to celebrate the birthday of Nikhil and the brawl broke out whilst they had been dancing at the ground. We arrested all of the four on Sunday itself. On Monday, they had been produced in a city courtroom that granted them bail. The probe is on,” stated ASI Suresh Kumar, the investigating officer.
However, when contacted, Amit Kumar, manager of Whisky Samba Club, claimed nothing came about inside the pub. “The incident happened out of doors the pub,” he stated.
