Govt approves Rs 5,000 crore 'action plan' for 'champion sectors'

NEW DELHI: The govt on Wednesday licensed an action plan for 12 'champion' products and services sectors, together with IT, tourism and hospitality, for realising their possible thru establishment of a Rs five,000 crore dedicated fund.
The fund, as soon as arrange, will support tasks for sectoral action plans of the 'champion sectors'.


The choice to clear the proposal of the Department of Commerce was taken at a gathering of the Union Cabinet chaired by way of Prime Minister Narendra Modi here.


"The Cabinet has also directed the ministries/ Departments concerned with these sectors to utilise the available draft sectoral plans to finalise and implement the action plans for the identified Champion Services Sectors," an legitimate statement mentioned.
