India imposes new restrictions on trade with North Korea

NEW DELHI: India has imposed new restrictions on trade with North Korea, a government commentary stated on Wednesday, in step with United Nations sanctions on Pyongyang for its ballistic missile programme.

New Delhi has been slicing back on trade with North Korea but has maintained diplomatic hyperlinks. It has given food support prior to now, but even that has been introduced all the way down to the minimal as the United States steps up power to isolate North Korea.

The new restrictions are mainly on "new or used vessels", food and farm merchandise, electrical apparatus and wooden, the federal government stated in the commentary.
