NEW DELHI: Women in India earn 20 in step with cent less than men, indicating that gender performs the most important parameter while figuring out salaries in India, says a record.
According to the latest 'Monster Salary Index' (MSI), men earned a median gross hourly wage of Rs 231, compared to girls, who earned most effective Rs 184.eight.
"The overall gender pay gap of 20 per cent is still a daunting number," said Abhijeet Mukherjee, CEO, Monster.com - APAC & Gulf.
Though on a year-on-year foundation, the gender pay gap has narrowed through about 5 percentage issues from 24.eight in step with cent in 2016, the record said gender pay gap widens as one positive aspects in work enjoy.
