BENGALURU: Over the past 30 months, Venkatesh Prasad, as chairman of the BCCI's junior variety committee, sat via loads of matches - most of them in small cities and dingy centres - assessing abilities, attitude, agility and fitness of the country's emerging players. Now, the 48-year-old former India speedy bowler - who performed a key part in putting together India's U-19 squad which received the World Cup this year - has referred to as time on his function.
Prasad, who has donned a number of hats since retiring from world cricket in 2001, on Friday wrote to top BCCI officials and the Committee of Administrators, tendering his resignation from the publish with immediate effect.
