Story: Veer Arora is a 'dilli ka launda' who is in love with a 'dilli ki kudi' Geet and desires to marry her. Things pass awry when during the meet-the-parents session, Veer locks horns with some scoundrels who misbehave with a woman in a resort. Geet's father is a peace loving guy and refuses give his daughter permission to marry a boy who indulges in 'maar-dhaad' even if he differently has a heart of gold.
Review: Set in Delhi, the movie revolves around enthusiasts who take the whole period of the movie to get married with the blessings in their dad and mom. The technique used to introduce the hero, Veer (Pulkit Samrat) and heroine, Geet (Kriti Kharbanda) harks back to the 1990s. While the digicam concentrates on Veer's swagger and 'chaudi chathi', in case of Geet, it pans from her backside to her bosom and predictably, the girl and the boy (donning a dungree) ruin right into a music with Hinglish lyrics, "Ignore kar na, banda bada mind blowing."
Moving on, there isn't any semblance of a screenplay within the movie's first part which additionally introduces the audience to Balli (Jimmy Shergill), a 35-year-old guy and Veer's cousin. Balli has been unfortunate in love and is searching ceaselessly for a bride. He provides gasoline to fireside via threatening Geet's father (Satish Kaushik) with dire penalties, if he causes hassle within the union of Veer and Geet. Coming to the movie's dialogues, they seem to have been penned on the pass, to position it mildly. Sample this --- Veer's father describing his son's accomplishments whilst comparing him with any other boy says, "Woh gul khilata hai lekin Veer to bagicha khilata hai' or this --- Geet's father trying to tickle the funny bone says, "Na dahi na bhalle, balle balle'. If that elicits laughter, a snigger or even a smirk then sure, 'Veerey Ki Wedding' is a comedy.
During the movie's making, the writers will have to have realised that parental opposition by myself as a conflict isn't sufficient to present their tale heft. So, they introduce but any other level of rivalry with a brand new suitor for Geet. A movie that is been derailed right from the primary body does not actually have a glimmer of hope to be able salvage the plot at any level, especially in it's 2nd part. Pulkit Samrat who has been trying to make a mark for a while in movies, suffers from an enormous Salman Khan hangover and that is his greatest shortcoming as an actor. While one has lost depend of the collection of instances Kriti Kharbanda has played a bride, her function on this movie calls for her to simply look lovely and act stupid. As for the movie's remainder of the cast including Jimmy Shergill, Satish Kaushik and Yuvika Chaudhary, they appear to be sleep strolling through it. The set design is immediately out of a day-to-day soap. On 2nd ideas, they do a a lot better process. Meanwhile, the music and songs are pedestrian and forgettable.
'Veerey Ki Wedding' is a loud and hackneyed movie. Skip this comedy of mistakes as the makers have erred each and every step of the best way on this movie. Or, watch it at your personal chance.
