180 grams smuggled gold seized by customs at Bhubaneswar airport

BHUBANESWAR: The Custom officers on Sunday seized 180 grams gold worth Rs 5.60 lakh at the arrival living room of Biju Patnaik International Airport.

The gold was once within the form of a Punjabi kada (bracelet), hidden below the sleeve of a person, who had arrived from Bangkok in Air India flight.


This is the seventh seizure in a week. Altogether Rs 70 lakh worth of gold has been seized by the sleuths, officers said.
