Doctor shot four times in south Delhi farmhouse

NEW DELHI: A well known city orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Hans Nagar, was shot 4 instances in a gunfight with 4 armed assailants mendacity in wait inside of his south Delhi farmhouse compound early Sunday morning. At least 30 rounds have been fired; the doctor, too, got off 13 shots from his authorized pistol, injuring two assailants.

Nagar, 56, was hit thrice within the belly and as soon as within the chest and is underneath statement at Fortis Hospital, Gurugram. The shooters, faces masked with white handkerchiefs, fled. No arrests were made but. Dr Nagar, a consulting doctor at Fortis and Rockland Hospital, amongst others, gave a remark to the police accusing his brothers, John and Ronald, of having conspired to kill him. Cops have asked them to sign up for the investigation on Monday. The shooters have been hired, stated sources.


The early Sunday morning incident comes two days after three other people - two brothers and the spouse of certainly one of them - have been killed in Model Town after they attacked every other over a belongings dispute and car parking zone.


Dr Nagar, son of Brig Hem Chand Nagar and his German spouse, Ida Ulrich, lived together with his family in a sprawling farmhouse called Nagar Estate in Fatehpur Beri. Police suspect that the assailants could have jumped the fringe wall of the farmhouse and opened the gate from inside.
