Labourer dies in Mancheswar Carriage Repair Workshop in Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR: A contract labourer was allegedly electrocuted on Saturday while operating at carriage repair workshop of East Coast Railway (ECoR) at Mancheswar in the town. Irate labourers introduced a cease-work agitation hard repayment for the kin of deceased.
The contract employee was recognized as 20-year-old Dibya Ranjan Pradhan of New Government Colony near the Workshop. The incident came about at round 9.10 am. The body was sent for postmortem.


East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources stated a contractual employee engaged by a contractor at Carriage Repair Workshop died while loading /unloading batteries from a coach. “The group of workers collapsed at the flooring with froth coming out of his mouth. He was taken to Railway Central Hospital at Mancheswar by workshop ambulance. The docs declared him lifeless after exam,” stated the respectable sources.


As in keeping with medical source, ECoR observation stated, it was no longer a case of electrocution.


Pradhan was operating beneath a contractor. Friends of the deceased staged demonstration in entrance of the gate of the Workshop and demanded repayment for the kin of the deceased. After intervention of the police, they known as off the strike.


Mancheswar police reached the spot and began investigation into the incident. “After getting postmortem report, we can inform the rationale of the dying,” stated a senior police officer.
