LUDHIANA: At least 10 other people had been injured as a dashing Punjab Roadways bus collided with a truck at Bharat Nagar chowk on Monday mid-night. The collision used to be so strong that the truck became turtle and the windowpanes of the bus had been smashed.
On hearing the screams of passengers, passers-by rushed to the spot and known as up the police and the 108 emergency ambulance. While the bus motive force and passengers sustained minor accidents, the truck motive force’s left knee used to be fractured. The injured had been taken to a close-by medical institution and discharged after the first-aid.
The truck motive force, Sukhdev Singh, mentioned, “I was driving from Moga to Ludhiana. When I reached Bharat Nagar Chowk, the dashing bus — coming from Fountain chowk — bumped into my truck. The truck became over. With much problem, I got here out. The crash left my knee fractured.”
Bus stand police submit in-charge assistant sub-inspector Chand Ahir mentioned at the statement of the truck motive force, the police have booked bus motive force Tarlochan Singh, a resident of Hoshiarpur, below sections 279 (rash driving), 337 (causing harm through act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous harm through act endangering life or personal safety of others), 427 (mischief causing injury to the amount of fifty rupees) of the IPC.
