BENGALURU: A non-public faculty in Rajajinagar has allegedly admitted most effective 21 students underneath the RTE quota regardless of informing oldsters of 41 kids about seat allocation. Aggrieved oldsters have now complained to the schooling department.
The ultimate date for admission used to be May 5. The KLE faculty claimed it’s an error within the software of the dep. of public instruction and the college has most effective 21 seats reserved underneath the quota.

Many oldsters protested towards the college ultimate week and the issue has now been taken up by the RTE task drive as the admission of 20 kids is in limbo.

On April 26, oldsters had submitted to the college paperwork bearing on admission of 41 students for Class 1. The oldsters were advised they’ll learn over the telephone on admission issues. “The faculty sent messages to 41 oldsters. If they had most effective 21 seats, they will have to have got in contact with most effective 21 oldsters. We got the seat-allotment messages 10 days ago. All the paperwork were submitted,” said Chandrakala T H, whose son is awaiting admission.

Shivalinga S, some other guardian, said he received a message about seat allotment on April 13 and important paperwork were submitted quickly after. “Initially, we were advised the seat used to be confirmed. But later we learnt the college had made two lists; the ones within the first would be admitted and the remainder would have to pass to other colleges. This faculty used to be closest to our house. We haven’t applied in other places and classes will start from May 25. The schooling department has asked us to wait for some extra days,” he rued.


The RTE task drive, a non-governmental voluntary frame, has taken up the issue with the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.


The executive has allocated seats for the pre-primary section too, which the college claimed to have stopped. “The faculty has two entries for accommodating students underneath RTE — in pre-primary faculty and Class I. They have admitted most effective 21 students and we are analyzing the matter. The block schooling officer (BEO) has been sent to the college for inquiry,” said Abdul Wajid Khaji, deputy director of public instruction (DDPI).


The BEO, however, said he has not anything do to with the matter and it will have to be checked with the commissioner’s place of business.
