ROHTAK: Rohtak police on Monday arrested seven members of notorious Chippi gang, who had been sought after in 16 circumstances of murder, attempt to murder and loot. Police seized 8 country-made pistol of .315 bore and a magazine and 16 live cartridges of .315 bore and 32mm from their ownership.
As in line with main points, police got information that Anand Malik of Karor village used to be murdered within the fields on April 27, by members of the Chippi gang who had a longstanding feud with his circle of relatives. Launching a probe, police registered murder case in opposition to Anil, Sandeep alias Kala, Sombir, Sampat Nehra, Akshay, Pawan Nahra, Pradeep alias Poppy, Raju Basodi, Jai Prakash, Jai Bhagwan, Baljeet, Vikas alias Bhandu, Ankit and Mohit, Pardeep Kumar, Kuki, Sandeep, Vikas alias Bagga, Rajkumar and Rohit alias Roki. All are citizens of Karor and close by villages of Rohtak and Sonipat districts.
Police stated during probe it came out that the victim Anand’s circle of relatives were wining the village sarpanch’s post for long and used to be in rivalry with Anil Chippi and his gang for the closing 18 years. Due to the rivalry, 19 individuals from all sides were killed.
Five of the Anand’s brother had been killed within the rivalry between each households. When Anand and his wife had been going somewhere on April 27 in car, their car used to be hit from the rear and Anil and his associates opened hearth at them, police stated.
To get away, Anand tried to escape into the fields however used to be gunned down by assailants. Attackers ran from the spot, leaving at the back of one motorcycle and a car and took alongside Anand’s weapon with them.
Addressing a press conference, Rohtak superintendent of police (SP) Jasandeep Singh Randhawa stated seeing the seriousness of the subject, the probe used to be passed over to crime investigation agency (CIA) branches of the district police. He stated CIA-I staff stuck gang chief Anil and others. He used to be sought after by police in 20 circumstances of murder, attempt to murder and other critical crimes by Haryana police.
