GUWAHATI: The crime branch of the town police nabbed 4 youths with two gold biscuits and cash from Jalukbari house on Sunday night. The 4 - known as Joydeep Haldar, Uttam Haldar, Rajesh Madal and Rajiv Dhar - have been allegedly bringing the gold biscuits from Barpeta. Police resources claimed that one in all them used to be related to BJP's native formative years wing.
Meanwhile, the customs anti-smuggling unit nabbed one Assam Police team of workers, known as Niren Borah, with 13 pounds of opium on Monday. "Borah was caught from the inter-state bus terminus area and the opium would be worth Rs 13 lakh in the illegal market," customs resources said. tnn
