BJP activists observe ‘Anti-Mandate’ day

Mysuru: Charging JD(S) of indulging in politics of opportunism, Mysuru city BJP activists staged a protest at Gandhi Square on Wednesday. The protest used to be a part of the ‘Anti-Mandate Day’ that the BJP is staring at to sentence the alliance stitched up between the Congress and JD(S) to shape the federal government in Karnataka.
Wearing a black ribbon, the protesters raised slogans towards the alliance. The protest by the BJP comes on an afternoon when HD Kumaraswamy took his oath as the executive minister of Karnataka. L Nagendra, MLA for Krishnaraja constituency, mentioned that, regardless that the folk had rejected the Congress, the birthday party had retained energy by extending support to the JD(S). “This is a backdoor access. But, this coalition won't last long, and the BJP will indisputably return to energy with a majority,” he mentioned.

Former legislator Thontadharya used to be among those that participated in an hour-long protest at Gandhi Square.

‘Black Day’ noticed in Mandya too

Dubbing the JD(S)-Congress alliance an ‘unholy nexus’, BJP activists in Mandya collected at the Sri Cauvery statue at the Bengaluru-Mysuru freeway and raised slogans towards leaders of the two parties. Chandagalu Shivanna, a BJP leader who unsuccessfully contested the meeting elections, mentioned that Kumaraswamy assuming place of business of the CM used to be a ‘blot’ on democracy.

“Power hungry leaders of the Congress and JD(S) are being condemned by the folk, who're bored stiff with their abhorrent behaviour,” he mentioned. “It is a mockery of democracy when BS Yeddyurappa, whose birthday party has received 104 meeting seats, is pressured to surrender, and Kumaraswamy of the JD(S), which has received 37 seats, is forming the federal government with the help of the Congress,” Shivanna added.

The protesters also lashed out at the Congress for ceding the CM’s chair to JD(S), and playing 2nd fiddle. “The birthday party that has 78 MLAs has sacrificed the CM’s publish to the JD(S), and this ‘nautanki’ is simply to keep BJP out of energy. But the BJP won the blessings of the citizens,” the protesters mentioned.
