Girls outshine boys in CBSE Class 12 exam

BHUBANESWAR: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday announced the Class XII results for science, trade and arts. This year, the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV)s have fared higher than personal colleges in the Bhubaneswar region, which contains Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.
Students in the Bhubaneswar region registered a go share of 83.70. The go share of KVs and JNVs are 97.30 and 97 respectively, while personal (independent) colleges registered a go share of 83.50.

"From this year's result, it is evident that students of government-run schools have done much better than their counterparts in private schools. We don't have statewise figures of the pass percentage," T Mate, regional officer (CBSE regional workplace) Bhubaneswar advised TOI.


Altogether 61,199 scholars of 674 colleges gave the impression for the examination from the region. As many as four,346 (7.10%) scholars secured more than 90% and above. With women outshining the lads, most schools in the town have made an excellent show registering cent % results.


The average go share of ladies is 87 while that of boys is 81.20.


The CBSE authorities, however, refused to convey out any toppers' listing. . "It is the schools that can claim about the performances of their students," said a CBSE officer.
