NEW DELHI: Haryana's embarrassingly skewed sex ratio at delivery appears to be showing indicators of improvement, with the management claiming a soar of 38 points between 2015 and December 2017.
While the 2011 census put Haryana's sex ratio at delivery (SRB) at a deficient 830 girls in line with 1,000 boys, in 2017, the SRB, as in line with chief registrar of births and deaths, stood at 914 girls in line with 1,000 boys.
The data used to be offered at a countrywide consultation organised by means of the women and child building ministry on the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) programme here.
BBBP used to be launched in 2015 by means of PM Narendra Modi from Panipat in Haryana. The data for Panipat displays SRB higher from 833:1000 in 2011 to 892:1000 in 2015. It went up further to 893:1000 in 2016 and 945:1000 in 2017.
According to data trend shared at the conference, SRB in Haryana rose from 876:1,000 in 2015 to 902:1,000 in 2016 after which went up further to 914:1000 in 2017. Haryana claims SRB improvement used to be a 56 point in line with the information from January, 2014 to January, 2018 sourced from the civil registration machine of the state.
