GUWAHATI: At least 3 persons - two from Assam and one from Manipur - had been nabbed via Delhi Police on Tuesday on fees of smuggling heroin. The trio have been recognized as Islamuddin Ali, Sohidur Rahman Jabbar and Tabali.
The heroin consignment they had been smuggling is worth over Rs 10 crore within the illegal marketplace. Police sources alleged that the trio are part of a world drug cartel recognized for supplying fine quality heroin smuggled from Myanmar.
"The quality of heroin smuggled from Myanmar has very high demand in Delhi, Punjab, NCR and Rajasthan. The trio reached Delhi a week ago," stated a supply. Demand for heroin from Myanmar has escalated in recent times for its superior high quality.
