HYDERABAD: Ahead of the monsoon season, street recovery work is on in full swing around the city. Of the total Rs 1,120 crore earmarked for the work, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken up street recovery process value Rs 720 crore. The closing Rs 400 crore is being spent by way of the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation (HRDC).
Officials said all the work is being carried out in the night time, mostly put up 10pm, to steer clear of traffic snarls and inconveniencing commuters. Officials are positive of completing the work before the rains get started.
