Sasikumar murder: NIA raids 5 homes

COIMBATORE: Teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided five properties here in reference to the Hindu Munnani spokesman C Sasikumar murder case.
The NIA teams raided the homes of Haider of Sugunapuram, Anees of Bilal Estate in GM Nagar, Bipin Rehman of Selvapuram, Mohammed Ali of Vellakinaru and Saddam Hussain of Thudiyalur. Officials said these five men had spoken to the accused in the Sasikumar murder case.

The NIA has telephone name information that that recommended that these men had spoken to the accused.

The raids started at 4.30am. The officials checked all paperwork and different information to find out if these men had been part of any banned teams and if they had been associated with any of accused men.

After finishing raids at his house, the team took Haider to Kannampalayam the place he was once running.

Last week, a circle of relatives from Selvapuram petitioned town police commissioner alleging torture by way of NIA officials. Febin Rahman said he were forced to make statements and subjected to torture by way of the officials.


Sasikumar of Subramaniyampalayam was once hacked to dying by way of a four-member gang on September 22, 2016 whilst he was once returning house on his bike.


The particular investigation division of the CB-CID arrested Syed Abudhakir, 29, of KK Nagar in Saibaba Colony, S Saddam Hussain, 27 of GM Nagar in Ukkadam, the alleged mastermind, Mubarak, and S Zubair of GM Nagar Ukkadam, who had been all participants of the Popular entrance of India (PFI).


Abudhakir and Saddam Hussain are out on bail whilst Mubarak and Zubair are lodged in the Salem Central Prison.
