MUMBAI: A 59-year-old boutique proprietor from Mulund is stuck in a Turkey hotel for 12 days as an area court docket has refused to let her fly out till trial for an alleged shoplifting.
Renu Narula had long past on a holiday to Europe along with her buddies when she used to be accused of shoplifting a couple of sunglasses from a store on the Istanbul airport—a rate she refutes. I knew I used to be blameless and had not anything to be fearful of,” she added. When the police officers arrived with an interpreter, the store displayed their CCTV footage. “On digicam, I may well be seen making an attempt on some shades and putting them again. A few mins later, the footage confirmed me hanging a piece of paper in my purse. It used to be a paper serviette however the employees claimed it used to be a label from a couple of sunglasses. They had no footage taking pictures the alleged shoplifting,” Narula added.
