PATNA: Police have introduced a manhunt to arrest a man, Shaukat Sultan Khan alias Raju Khan (40), who has been accused of sexually assaulting a seven-year-old lady.
Khan runs an NGO-cum-education centre at Samanpura underneath the Shashtri Nagar police station area within the town. The lady, a Class I scholar, accused Khan of sexually assaulting her at the centre the place she had gone for research on Sunday.
SHO of Shashtri Nagar police station Nehar Bhushan mentioned children from underprivileged sections of society learn about at the centre. “Apart from Khan, the centre also has women academics,” the SHO mentioned, including the accused took the lady to a secluded position and touched her personal portions. The SHO mentioned the lady’s mom has lodged an FIR with the police. “An FIR has been lodged against Khan underneath relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and POCSO Act,” the SHO added.
