Ugandan woman raped by Sudan students in Hyd

HYDERABAD:Two students from Sudan were arrested for sexually assaulting a 21-yearold Ugandan girl in Hyderabad on Friday.
One of the accused, Amar Hasan, 26, is a B Pharmacy third-year scholar of Holy Mary Institute of Technology & Science in Bogaram and the opposite, Mohammed Fageer, 25, is a scholar of mechanical engineering at St Mary’s College near Ramoji Film City.

On Friday morning, the 21-year-old rape survivor, who hails from Kireka Kampala in Uganda, lodged a criticism with Osmania University police, alleging she was raped at probably the most accused, Amar Hasan’s flat in Siddhartha Asian Residency Apartment, Sitaphalmandi, post-midnight. 29. She told police she met Hasan for the primary time in January at a birthday party in Goa and become buddies. They continued to chat on Facebook and WhatsApp. Earlier, she twice visited Hyderabad to satisfy Hasan. “On Thursday night time, Hasan entered her room with Mohammed Fageer and raped her. The accused were inebriated,” Kacheguda assistant commissioner of police (ACP) J Narsaiah mentioned.


After the criticism was lodged, police despatched the lady to Bharosa Centre for Counselling. Her observation was recorded and she or he underwent a medical exam.


The complainant mentioned she was staying together with her brother in Pune and the accused were living in Hyderabad for 3 years. Police mentioned both accused have scholar visas. A rape case was registered in opposition to the two Sudanese nationals. “We have arrested the duo and they're going to be produced prior to the magistrate for judicial remand. The embassy of Sudan is being knowledgeable about the arrest,” the ACP mentioned.
