BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Director General of Police RP Sharma on Monday stated anti-Naxal operation can be further intensified within the state.
Elated over the success of the workforce of Odisha Police who eliminated a minimum of seven Left Wing Extremists in Bolangir and Kandhamal districts in the past two days, Sharma stated the state would stay the momentum and take a look at to flush out the rebels growing bother in positive pockets of Odisha.

All the seven Maoists were killed in line with intelligence inputs and the state police chief stated that going forward, the police will focus more on intelligence based anti-Maoist operations.

He stated the state can even coordinate more intently with other states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.


Maoists proceed to pose big problem to the police in Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal Nuapada and Bolangir districts and special operations can be launched in positive areas with explicit plans, Sharma stated.


He stated the Odisha Police has already ready any other special plan for the cut-off space in Malkangiri district which was thought to be as a den of rebels.


On the new operations, the DGP stated each were meticulously planned as no casualties were reported from safety forces aspect.


The recovery of several palms together with AK-47, Insas, and SLR rifle indicated that the opposition is closely armed, assets stated.
