Woman dies after delivery, kin protest

NOIDA: The members of the family of a 22-year-old woman, who died after turning in a child boy on Thursday, staged a protest alleging negligence on a part of ESIC Hospital body of workers. The woman Rajrani, from Bulandshahr, lived together with her husband Gaurav, a safety guard, in Salarpur village.

The members of the family said Rajrani was once admitted to the medical institution on Thursday at 8.30am. “Two hours later the lady delivered a child boy following which she was once shifted to the overall ward,” Amrawati, the victim’s relative said.

The members of the family said the victim endured to bleed after the delivery they usually knowledgeable the medical doctors. However, the medical doctors did not take understand of the topic and the lady died in the afternoon, they claimed.


The woman’s kinfolk then staged a protest on the medical institution alleging scientific negligence. A group from Sector 24 police station reached the spot and controlled to pacify the protesters.


Dr Neelima, director of ESIC Hospital, alternatively, denied the allegations. “The woman delivered a child boy but after that she was once bleeding from her uterus which did not forestall in spite of the medical doctors’ best effort. The woman did not come to the medical institution for any scientific check-up previously and medical doctors were not acutely aware of her health stipulations. She had now not visited every other medical institution all over her being pregnant,” she said.


Neelima said the baby is on ventilator fortify and is secure. Pankaj Pant, SHO Sector 24, said no written criticism has been filed by the victim’s family.
